Track Record

The essential step to becoming successful is maintaining a phenomenal track record. Banks, Colleges, and businesses all want people with a great track record whether it is for a loan, admission, or a job. Banks will check your credit report to determine whether or not to loan your money. If you have a poor track record (Credit Report) you will not receive the best interest rates or even receive the loan. In college admission they look at your academic record and your community service and how you spend your time outside of school. When applying for a job they look at your resume and references to determine whether or not you are the best person for the job. You must prove yourself through your track record.
Every moment of a person’s life contributes to their track record. Even if one does it in the private of home, it is still that person’s record. What happens in private will eventually trickle into the public and become part of your public record. Just remember everything you do is part of your track record, whether done in private or public, it is part of your record but most importantly part of who you are. Often we do not think these overlap but if you disrespect your wife at home she will eventually tell people and it will become public. A divorce may seem private to you, but it may signal that you cannot keep a smaller commitment than marriage.
If every moment of life goes on a record and a track record is the most important part of proving to others then it must be worked on and perfected. The first step is every thing you do must be thought about. You must take deliberate actions for the sake of improving your record and most importantly yourself. You must think what will be the results of this action on your image. Will it be good or bad? You can’t improve your credit by not paying off loans. How can you improve your life report by not thinking about your actions? Second you must do everything with your whole heart. Most of the time people might not care that you performed a task. People will notice how ever if you perform the task and put into it your whole mind, body, and soul. This looks good and is even better. Thirdly you must elevate yourself above everyone. You must stand out. Increase your vocabulary. Sound smart. Learn more concepts. Stay informed. This is key. If you are constantly improving yourself whoever is looking at your track record will know that you will not be the same person you are now ten years from now even ten days from now. Always remember everything you do today is setting you up for success or failure tomorrow.
